Mornings with Dad
Nothing is better for bonding than spending time together--especially when this allows mom to sleep a little longer. For this toddler mornings include playing with cars in the window and talking about the cars driving up and down the busy street in front of the house. Bonus points for trucks, even more if it has a siren!

While dad gets ready for the day...
Mom takes over care of the busy toddler. This play involves hide and seek, and playing sleep as they both squeeze in the crib converted to a toddler bed. Together they talk about what is going to happen during the day, in particular, who is coming to babysit while mom and dad work. Sometimes there is talk about dreams. On this morning they discussed the monsters that visited the young boy in his sleep. No need to worry, they were friendly monsters.
